Installation accessories for building your staircase yourself

Safety under your feet

We want to encourage your creativity and can offer you aluminium steps, 80 and 100 cm wide, up to a floor height of 300 cm.

  • You can purchase the angle brackets you need to fix the staircase in a DIY store. Simply ask a specialist for advice.
  • Outdoors you simply need two timber panels 80 x 140 mm.
  • Indoors we would recommend the use of laminated timber panels, also 80 x 140 mm in size.
  • Construct your staircase on concrete, and secure the staircase with a special floor bracket that you will find in the "Stair" section of your builders merchant.
  • You require a handrail for staircases with four steps or more. Design your staircase to suit your own individual taste and style. You simply need two handrail boards for each size, 25 x 140 mm, as well as fixing screws.
  • The rail posts can also be purchased from a DIY store.

All of the dimensions you require can be found in the table of dimensions.

Hints for building a stair head

To construct a stair head, simply remove the angles from the steps and connect the steps together with the screws supplied (see illustration).

The sub-structure for the stair head must consist of three planks of wood 80 x 140 mm (or alternatively steel beams).
